M.D. Driscoll & Co. Ltd has been trading in the commercial sector since 1994, working for the major housebuilders , developers and main contractors on a variety of schemes. We operate throughout the south east of England, including within London itself. Our management team have the experience and knowledge to work in the construction industry sector and the particular challenges it presents.
With around 8 teams at the “sharp end” and an office support of 5, we have the resources to succesfully manage and implement schemes or all magnitudes.
Our operatives, many of whom have been with us for a number of years, are fully familiar with the construction industry environment and its attendant requirements, from health and safety through to working alongside other trades. As a company, we offer the full range of skills, covering design, installation and maintenance, a more detailed description follows.
With over 35 years experience in the industry Mark trained at Hadlow College, Kent before working with a number of national landscape contractors. Mark instigated the business working in the commercial sector in 1993 and continues with an everyday involvement.
With 30 years experience in the industry, including over 20 years in turf production, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. Overseeing the scheduling of works and managing the teams are Steve’s principle responsibilities. Estimating also comes under his direction.
Denise brings her extensive experience working in the construction and landscaping industries to her role. Responsible for running the office with all the associated payroll, financial administration, staff training requirements to name but a few. Denise’s role is pivotal to the smooth running of the business.
Health & Safety
Our Managing Director carries overall responsibility and is accredited to IOSH Managing Safely and CITB Site Safety Plus. Site operatives each carry CSCS cards as a basic requirement with other certiﬁcates and accreditations held in addition to this.
We are pleased to have gained a SMAS Worksafe certificate (www.smasltd.com). This means that we have met the SSIP core criteria recognised by the HSE and other SSIP accreditation schemes. Meeting the SSIP Core Criteria demonstrates that we are serious about H&S and have (and use) an effective H&S Management System to ensure that any work they are engaged in is, so far as reasonably practical, carried out without risk to health and safety.
We are delighted to have recently become accredited members of The Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) comprises accredited landscape companies who design, build and maintain gardens throughout the UK. The rigorous inspection process to join is the toughest within the industry. Along with the initial inspection, members are inspected annually to ensure each member complies with health and safety law and their quality of work is to the highest possible. www.landscaper.org.uk
